Low-EMF Wellness Tools: How the Feel Good Mat Keeps You Safe

When it comes to wellness technology, one of the most common questions we hear is:

“Does the Feel Good Mat emit EMFs?”

It’s a fair question. With so many devices surrounding us - phones, Wi-Fi routers, wearables - it’s natural to wonder how all this invisible energy might affect your sleep, stress levels, and overall well-being.

So let’s talk about it openly: what EMFs actually are, why people are concerned, and how the Feel Good Mat was designed to keep your experience low-EMF, safe, and deeply restorative.

Why People Are Concerned About EMFs

EMFs - short for electromagnetic fields - are waves of energy created by anything powered by electricity or wireless signals. Most modern devices emit them, from your phone to your smartwatch.

While oversight agencies generally find that low levels pose minimal hazard, the body of research is ongoing and sometimes mixed. The World Health Organization states that “to date there is no evidence to conclude that exposure to low-level electromagnetic fields is harmful to human health.” World Health Organization

That said, some studies - especially animal models or high-exposure settings - have found effects like oxidative stress or neural changes, which raise questions when exposure is high or chronic. PMC

Because of this, people with sensitive nervous systems or existing stress conditions often prefer to err on the side of caution and use “low-EMF” wellness tools.

What’s Inside the Feel Good Mat

We designed the Feel Good Mat with safety and minimal EMF exposure in mind:

  1. Vibration motors – These produce the full-body gentle vibration. They’re mechanical, not electromagnetic, and don’t emit wireless frequencies.
  2. Sound experience (via app + headphones) – Sound is delivered externally via headphones or speakers, not from any internal transmitter.
  3. Bluetooth module – A very low-power Bluetooth chip lets you connect to the app if desired. You can disable it when you don’t want any signal.

How Low Are the EMFs?

Independent testing (per FCC guidelines) shows that the Bluetooth chip in the mat operates at about 1 milliwatt. This is relevant because the FCC’s “1 mW blanket exemption” allows extremely low-power devices to be exempt from detailed RF evaluation. Federal Register

To put it in perspective, that’s hundreds of times lower than a typical cell phone’s output. It’s far below regulatory limits for general public exposure. FCC

Because the chip only activates when Bluetooth is turned on - and can be turned off - the effective exposure is under your control.

How to Use the Mat with Zero Wireless Signal

If you prefer a completely “off-wire” experience, it’s easy to do:

• Open the app and connect your phone to the mat.
• Once the vibration is powered on and running, switch your phone to Airplane Mode.
• The mat will continue your session without any wireless signal.
• When finished, unplug the mat - no power means no signal.

This lets you enjoy the full vibration experience while keeping your environment completely free from active EMF transmission.

Certified and Tested Safe

The Feel Good Mat meets FCC certification standards, meaning it passed tests for radiated emissions and consumer electronics safety.
Because its EMF output is extremely low and well under regulatory thresholds, it’s considered negligible for human exposure.

Regulatory agencies like the FCC, WHO, and other national bodies maintain that typical exposures well below limits are not conclusively harmful.

  • Cancer and EMF — The U.S. National Cancer Institute emphasizes that epidemiological studies in adults have not shown consistent links between EMFs and cancer. National Cancer Institute
  • Oxidative Stress Effects — Some biomedical studies show that higher EMF exposure can trigger oxidative stress or changes in antioxidant markers. PMC
  • RF Safety Guidelines — Reviews of radiofrequency health effects, including 5G, generally conclude that there is no consistent evidence of adverse effects at exposures below guideline limits. Public Health Ontario
  • Children’s Sensitivity — Because developing nervous systems absorb more electromagnetic energy, pediatric studies emphasize precautionary approaches. PMC
